Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and professional Front Office Duty Manager to join our team at Constance Ephelia, a prestigious luxury resort in Seychelles. In this pivotal role, you will oversee front office operations during your shift, ensuring exceptional guest experiences whilst maintaining the highest standards of service. Your multilingual abilities in French or Italian will be instrumental in serving our diverse international clientele and enhancing our commitment to personalised hospitality.
- Supervise and manage front office staff during assigned shifts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
- Oversee all guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- Address guest enquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues promptly
- Manage front office operations, including room allocation, reservations, and administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with resort policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless guest services and operational coordination
- Monitor and maintain front office systems and equipment, reporting any technical issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols throughout the front office area
- Conduct regular briefings with team members to communicate updates and maintain service standards
- Handle cash and payment transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Assist with staff induction and training programmes as required
- Contribute to revenue optimisation through effective room management and upselling opportunities
Qualifications
- Fluency in French or Italian (written and spoken) – essential
- Proven experience in a front office management or supervisory role within a hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of hotel management systems and reservation software -Opera Cloud
- Excellent customer service skills with a guest-focused approach
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support team members
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving capabilities and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and best practices
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Desirable experience in luxury or high-end resort environments
- Desirable knowledge of multiple front office systems and software platforms
