Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and organised Assistant F&B Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team at Constance Moofushi, Maldives. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Food & Beverage operations at our luxury island resort, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the F&B Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and maintain the highest standards of service excellence across all food and beverage outlets.
- Assist in the day-to-day management and supervision of all F&B operations, including restaurants, bars, and room service • Support the F&B Manager in staff scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure optimal team performance • Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and food costs whilst maintaining strict adherence to budgetary controls • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all food preparation and service areas
- Maintain detailed records of stock, orders, and supplier communications using appropriate systems • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest enquiries and resolving complaints professionally and promptly • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, kitchens, and storage facilities to uphold cleanliness and operational standards • Assist in menu planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to enhance revenue and guest satisfaction
- Manage Point of Sale (POS) systems and process transactions accurately • Support the induction and ongoing training of new F&B staff members • Liaise with suppliers and maintain positive vendor relationships to ensure quality products and competitive pricing • Contribute to the development and implementation of F&B policies and procedures
Qualifications
**Required Skills and Experience:** • Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in F&B operations, hospitality management, or a similar supervisory role • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu offerings, and beverage management • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, training, and people management • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and hospitality management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams • Strong organisational and time-keeping abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities • Solid understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations • Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure • Experience working in a resort, hotel, or high-volume food service environment (desirable) **Education and Certifications:**
- Secondary education or equivalent qualification (minimum requirement) • Food Safety Certification or equivalent (desirable) • Hospitality Management qualification or relevant professional certification (desirable) **Domain Expertise:** • In-depth knowledge of F&B service protocols and operational best practices • Understanding of inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting within F&B departments • Familiarity with restaurant and bar operations in a luxury hospitality setting
