Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Guest Relation Host with Japanese language skills to join our luxury resort in {NAME}, Maldives. As a vital member of our guest services team, you will be responsible for ensuring our Japanese-speaking guests have an exceptional and memorable stay.

  • Welcome and assist Japanese-speaking guests throughout their stay, providing a warm and personalised experience
  • Act as a liaison between Japanese guests and various departments within the resort
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and efficiently
  • Coordinate and book resort activities, dining reservations, and excursions for guests
  • Provide translation and interpretation services when needed
  • Conduct resort orientations and provide information about facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth process for Japanese guests
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to enhance their overall experience
  • Maintain accurate guest records and preferences in the resort's customer relationship management system
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues and ensure guest satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken) is essential
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles, preferably in a luxury resort setting
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and empathetic demeanour
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly regarding Japanese customs and etiquette
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including booking systems and customer relationship management software
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality standards and practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
