Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at the luxurious Constance Halaveli resort in the Maldives. As an integral part of our food and beverage operation, you will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our discerning guests.
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high customer satisfaction
- Support the Restaurant Manager in staff scheduling, training, and performance management
- Maintain and enforce food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and promotional offers
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Manage inventory levels, place orders, and control costs to meet budgetary goals
- Analyse sales data and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Ensure the restaurant ambience and presentation meet our luxury standards at all times
- Step in for the Restaurant Manager in their absence, demonstrating strong leadership skills
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a restaurant management or supervisory role, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with relevant certification
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of menu planning, pricing strategies, and inventory management
- Experience in budgeting and financial reporting for restaurant operations
- Knowledge of international cuisines and current food and beverage trends
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Passion for hospitality and commitment to maintaining luxury service standards
