Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and reservation systems
  • Handle reservation requests, inquiries, and special accommodations efficiently
  • Process deposits, maintain accurate records, and manage group bookings
  • Provide clear information on hotel policies, room rates, and amenities to guests
  • Utilize sales techniques to maximize property revenue and promote upselling
  • Collaborate effectively with Front Desk, Sales, and Accounts departments
  • Monitor and update room availability across various booking channels to prevent overbooking
  • Assist in creating and implementing promotional packages to increase occupancy rates
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns related to reservations in a timely and professional manner
  • Generate and analyze reservation reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Stay updated on local events and attractions to provide recommendations to guests
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations when handling guest information
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives to support other departments during peak periods
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the hotel's customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for the reservations department

 

 

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • 1-2 years' experience in a Reservation Agent role
  • Fluency in English; French language skills preferred
  • Knowledge of OPERA reservation system
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multinational environment
  • Flexible scheduling availability
  • Previous experience in tourism industry would be an advantage
