Job Description
We have a number of vacancies in the Valuation & Advisory Services Department at Colliers.
Applicants considered from Chartered Surveyor to Senior Surveyor Levels.
Responsibilities
- Conducts professional work to a very high standard for clients and to ensure that all relevant reporting requirements are met to agreed deadlines and in accordance with RICS regulatory compliance standards
- Ensures that work is conducted within Colliers Best Practice standards.
- Undertake loan security valuations, loan book valuations, rent reviews, rating & general lease advisory
- Demonstrates very good level of professional knowledge and skill-set within own area of professional practice, plus high level of expertise and intuition of other areas within the firm.
- Completes start-to-finish assignments to very high standard with minimal input requirement from supervisory staff.
- Acts as recognised guide and role model for more junior staff members and assists/mentors them as requested.
- Takes responsibility for own professional development, principally (but not only) CPD requirements. Identifies areas for improvement and takes requisite initiatives to achieve these.
- Is recognised as a senior valuable collaborative work colleague, and a leader of internal work groups as required. Seeks out work and career advancement opportunities.
- Attends wide range of regular business seminars and presentations to promote himself/herself and the Company.
- Delivers exceptional service where requested by a colleague or other department to assist on an assignment. Works in other Departments and on Special Projects as required, and dedicates requisite time to completing taskwork in a timely and professional manner.
- Ongoing proactively maintains contact with clients and key client contacts, as well as acts himself/herself as key client contact in certain instances… so that the client relationships are managed effectively and efficiently.
- Contributes to generation of fee income to meet team and Business Group targets.
- Utilises own extensive network to proactively identify new business opportunities, and regularly converts these into fee generating instructions. Continually expanding his/her personal network of industry and business peers, adding these to the company client/contact database.
- Develops new business with some existing clients
- Has sole responsibility for effectively processing work for some clients.
- Seeks opportunities to develop new business including cross-selling and identification of new business.
- Successfully maintains and expands variety of mid level client relationships.
- Understands the corporate objectives and recognises how own role contributes to the achievement of wider departmental and Company objectives.
- Has a visible internal profile and presence, and working towards wider external profile. Regular contributor towards PR for the company both with its profile in the Colliers International group, and with national media.
Qualifications
Proficient in valuation software Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer and DCF excel modelling
Must possess excellent organisation and time management skills
Must possess sound IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
Must possess very good written and verbal communication skills
Possess a relevant qualification and be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, probably with 2 years post APC experience & a registered Valuer.
Must possess very good market knowledge
Full Drivers Licence Required
Full authorisation to work in Ireland
