Job Description

The Role

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated.  They will work within a larger team of experienced property professionals and shall be responsible for the management of a commercial property portfolio.  Reporting into their line-manager, they should be comfortable working as part of a team whilst taking responsibility for meeting their own reporting and project deadlines.  The successful candidate will be focussed on providing a best in class service to their clients and their tenants and shall develop strong working relationships with the service providers engaged on their behalf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of commercial properties for both landlord and Tenant (PM + FM).
  • Carrying out building inspections as and when necessary.
  • Liaison with the client accountant on all finance matters (rent, service charge, insurance, budgets, invoice receivable and payable).
  • Preparation of annual budgets.
  • Preparation of monthly or quarterly reports.
  • Management of all associated reactive and planned maintenance works.
  • Management of any on-site building or estate staff.
  • Maintain property files to include lease, ESG, property and tenant data.
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the property and facility management department.

 

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in commercial property management.
  • Have commenced or be willing to commence the route to becoming a chartered member of the SCSI.
  • Be competent in various property management software packages such as TRAMPS, BASWARE, CAFM systems.
  • Strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Have a basic understanding of ESG and how it relates to the built environment.
  • Be able to identify business development opportunities and participate when required in pitching for new business.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Have a full valid driving licence, use of own car is preferable but not essential.
