Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day operation and long-term performance of Coastlands Shopping Centre.
Working closely with the Centre Manager and wider management team, you’ll be the trusted expert ensuring the Centre operates to the highest standards of safety, compliance, presentation and efficiency while protecting and enhancing the value of the asset on behalf of the owner.
This is a hands-on and highly visible role where no two days are the same. You’ll have ownership of facilities operations, maintenance, contractor performance and compliance, while also contributing to cost control, sustainability initiatives and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring the Centre remains fully operational at all times
- Manage all maintenance, reactive works and preventative programmes, engaging and directing contractors to achieve quality outcomes
- Ensure full health & safety, statutory and building compliance, including BWOF, hazard management and emergency procedures
- Act as the primary contact for all Facilities Management matters, including after-hours response when required
- Oversee security services, systems and personal safety across the Centre
- Proactively identify and implement operational efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives
- Assist with service contract tenders, renewals and performance reviews
- Contribute to Opex and Capex budgets, forecasting, reporting and insurance claims management
- Maintain key documentation including the Tenancy Manual, Emergency Procedures Manual and Fit‑out Manual
- Support sustainability initiatives and long-term asset performance
- Build strong, professional relationships with retailers, contractors and stakeholders
Qualifications
The value you’ll add
- Proven experience in a Facilities Management, building or asset management role
- Can balance technical capability with strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, compliance and H&S legislation
- Experience managing contractors and service providers in a complex environment
- Solid financial acumen with experience managing operating budgets and reporting
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
- Confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel and working with Building Management Systems
- A customer‑focused mindset and commitment to high presentation standards
