Job Description
Make sure that the right projects are selected, provide a holistic view of the Project Portfolio, master its execution viability ensuring best allocation of budget and resources and oversee group projects outside T.O. for an efficient completion of projects & report on the project’s progress.
As part of a fixed-term contract until the end of February 2027, you will:
- Responsible for following up the portfolio and selecting the right projects supporting Coface’ strategy
- Responsible for leading the project managers and overseeing the creation of a product or service
- Contribute to designing the project portfolio linked to the Coface strategy and operational objectives (depending on budget available)
- Control and monitoring of budget (project cost report), resources (heatmap) and benefits (business case commitments) of the project portfolio (projects outside T.O.)
- Communicate the status of projects outside T.O. quarterly to Sponsors and Regions.
- Contribute to improve operational excellence in project implementation across Coface (methodology)
- Define “basic” project management standards (PM ‘light’)
- Define the minimum standards of non-strategic projects
- Roll-out methodology
- Communicate & raise awareness on the new methodology
- Train the non-expert project managers
- Clarify roles & responsibilities
- Ensure commitment to quality
- Diagnosis of projects outside T.O., set a diagnosis & define remediation action
- Complete regular quality controls
- Evaluate value creation of projects & report project issues
- Support the non-TO project managers
- Guides PMs to apply the standards
- Hold PM accountable for their role
- Provide support on project issues solving
- Maximize quality & OTOBOS in project execution
- Check that the projects have the right resources
- Ensure quality of Project key deliverables
- Support in particular SteerCos preparation & attend SteerCos of key projects
- Create a centralized view on project progress
- Create & update a projects status Dashboard
- Initiate a “project quality culture” at Coface
- Leverage the community of newly trained project managers
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience of project and change management
- 3+ years’ experience of IT projects (development, software deliveries...)
- Proven strong experience in multinational/multicultural projects
- Excellent -proven- capabilities of project management and change management
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Proven coaching skills of project managers
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely
- Good organizational skills to keep track of their team’s progress and adjust when necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to identify problems and develop solutions
- Ability to make effective decisions
- Ability to anticipate risks, and manage them with key people
- Excellent level of French and English required
- Solution oriented behavior
