Job Description
Joining Clifford Chance offers an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience of how Business Development and Marketing support the growth of a leading global law firm, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the delivery of strategic business objectives.
Students in the final year of a Law or Business degree are invited to apply for a Business Development & Marketing internship in our Madrid office, starting in August or September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, updating and development of business development materials, including client presentations, brochures, website profiles.
- Maintaining client-related documents including CVs, capability statements and track records.
- Support the directory and awards submissions process, including gathering information and assisting with the preparation of submissions.
- Maintain and update targeted client lists in the Firm’s database (e.g., InterAction), ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Support with design and delivery of client events in collaboration with Events team
- Collaborating with team members, lawyers and partners to collect input for targeted business development initiatives.
- Assist with market and competitor research to help support business development projects.
- Keep abreast of market trends and developments relevant to the Firm’s strategic priorities.
Qualifications
To apply for this position, you must:
- Be in the final year of a Law or Business degree during the 2026/2027 academic year.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Possess strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- Have a proactive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
