Job Description
A Duty Officer (DO) at Stirling Leisure Centres is typically responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the aquatic facility, while providing leadership to lifeguards and frontline aquatic staff. The role combines supervision, safety management, customer service, and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising pool operations and ensuring a safe environment for patrons.
- Leading and supporting lifeguards and aquatic staff during shifts.
- Monitoring compliance with aquatic safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Conducting pool inspections, water quality checks, and maintaining operational standards.
- Responding to incidents, emergencies, and customer enquiries.
- Assisting with staff rostering, administration, cleaning, and facility presentation.
- Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for visitors.
Qualifications
Current Provide First Aid Certificate.
Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
Current Pool Manager’s/Pool Operations / Aquatic Technical Operator Certificate
endorsed by LIWA Aquatics to the satisfaction of the Health Department of
Western Australia.
