Why You’ll Love This Role
This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across various reserves across the city, and the day to day supervision and direction of the turf mowing team. You will providing feedback to the Operations Supervisor regarding team performance, fleet and maintenance/safety issues noted throughout the day.
What You’ll Be Doing
The duties of the Team Leader Large Clean Up Unit will include but are not limited to:
- Lead team activities to ensure service standards, quality and targets are met.
- Promote safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment for employees.
- Maintain daily records including timesheets, work schedules & Take 5’s.
- Training and assisting new and inexperienced staff
- Have the opportunity to act in the Supervisor role when required
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring

- This position would suit someone who enjoys working outdoor, has an eye for detail, takes pride in their work and enjoys sharing their experience and knowledge.
- Previous mowing experience with 5 or more years operating out front ride on mowers and other relevant plant and equipment
- Previous experience leading small teams.
- Possession of “MR” class driver’s licence, which must be maintained as current whilst employed at the City.
- The ability to set goals and objectives for team members.
- Understanding and adhere to occupational health and safety principles and practices and an ability to promote and maintain a safe work environment.
