DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. DEP's water supply system is comprised of 19 reservoirs and 3 controlled lakes throughout the system’s 2,000 square mile watershed that extends 125 miles north and west of the City.

The Bureau of Water and Sewer Operations is seeking to hire a candidate for the title of Principal Administrative Associate I in the Division of BWSO Field Operations Emergency Communication Center. Selected candidate will act as the primary coordination hub for agency field operations and manage critical communications to ensure rapid response to environmental and infrastructure incidents. Additional responsibilities involve acting as a central point of contact for facility alarms across various bureaus and fielding after hours calls via the Bureau of Police and Security hotline. Candidate will send notifications to multi bureau staff for a wide range of high priority events including utility failures and roadway closures. They will also be responsible for maintaining constant situational awareness by monitoring multiple radio frequencies and ensuring all operational documentation and call tracking logs are completed with technical precision.
