Job Description
Carrier Sourcing Representatives - responsible for developing and establishing carrier relationships, to provide cost-effective solutions for Circle Logistics' current and prospective customer base. This position will source, secure, and manage dedicated carrier capacity while maintaining the highest levels of customer service. This will include negotiating rates and selling all modes that Circle has to offer. Sourcing Representatives are to establish long-lasting carrier relationships and build up a substantial pipeline of partner carriers. This person should be highly motivated, have a strong sense of urgency, and have superior communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop an overall business strategy to build a pipeline of qualified partner carriers
- Source a network of carriers based on Account Management needs with the expectation of developing contracted capacity
- Continually review your pipeline’s capacity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide and negotiate freight rates to carriers to improve margins.
- Manage carrier pipeline to ensure accurate levels of service
- Utilize data driven resources to make informed decisions
- Collaborate internally with teams on pricing strategies and account implementation plans
- Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism
- Actively procure new carriers based on volume and lane density
- Maintain strong market knowledge of shipping lanes, geography, and seasonality
- Meet and exceed KPIs and goals as set by department leadership
- Review and verify your TMS profile for data integrity for both existing and new carriers
- Support other departments as necessary utilizing your carrier pipeline

Qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements
- Logistics experience (PREFERRED) (i.e. Brokerage / Asset Based / Warehousing / etc.)
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in logistics or business related fields (PREFERRED)
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience (REQUIRED)
- Proficient in Google Drive and Excel
