What You’ll Own:

Carrier Strategy & Network Development
• Build and execute national carrier procurement strategy
• Develop and optimize a high-performing core and contract carrier network

Core Capacity Programs
• Establish long-term, contracted capacity through pricing and partnerships
• Reduce spot market dependency through scalable programs

Leadership & Team Development
• Lead and scale a high-performing carrier procurement team
• Drive accountability and a partnership-first culture

Performance & Data
• Track carrier KPIs (service, cost, reliability)
• Use data to improve network efficiency and profitability

Capacity Planning & Market Strategy
• Align capacity with demand across Sales and Operations
• Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategy proactively

RFPs & Strategic Growth
• Lead carrier strategy for bids and new business
• Support scalable solutions for large, complex accounts

Process, Tech & Compliance
• Improve sourcing workflows, tools, and data integrity
• Ensure carrier compliance, onboarding, and clean system data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
7+ years of experience in freight brokerage or 3PL, with a focus on carrier procurement or capacity strategy
3+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Proven success building and scaling carrier networks and contract capacity programs
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing strategy, and transportation modes (FTL, LTL, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in TMS/CRM systems and data analysis (Excel, reporting, KPIs)
• Experience supporting RFPs, enterprise accounts, and large-scale implementations
• Ability to operate strategically while executing in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
