Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Senior Frontend or Full-stack Engineer to join our product engineering team and help drive the evolution of our existing product suite, built on modern React.
You'll own features end to end — from technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment — and you'll be a key voice in how our organization approaches frontend and UI engineering more broadly.
You'll regularly partner with engineers, designers, and product managers on other teams to align on shared patterns, standards, and tooling, so the products we build feel consistent and our teams don't reinvent the wheel independently.
If you enjoy owning your work fully, care about the craft of frontend engineering, and want a seat at the table when cross-team technical decisions are made, this role is built for you. Experience on the backend — especially .NET — is a strong plus and opens the door to broader full-stack ownership within our team.
What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product features using modern React (hooks, component architecture, state management) across our existing product line.
- Own the full development lifecycle for your work — from technical design and implementation, through automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), to CI/CD deployment and post-release monitoring.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, and hold that same bar in code reviews for your teammates.
- Collaborate with external/cross-functional teams — other engineering squads, design, and product — to define and evolve a common approach to frontend and UI development (shared component libraries, design systems, coding standards, tooling, and best practices).
- Debug and resolve production issues, working with observability and monitoring tools to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in architectural decisions for the frontend, including framework/library choices, performance optimization, accessibility, and scalability of the UI layer.
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies, helping the team plan and deliver predictably.
- Mentor and support other engineers, sharing knowledge on frontend best practices and helping raise the overall engineering bar.
- (If applicable) Contribute to backend development, particularly on .NET-based services, APIs, and integrations that power the products you work on.
- Stay current with the evolving frontend ecosystem and bring relevant new tools, patterns, and practices back to the team.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For: Required Qualifications
Core experience:
- 4+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack development.
- Strong, hands-on expertise with modern React (hooks, functional components, context/state management, performance optimization).
- Solid command of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (TypeScript is our standard, and experience with it is expected).
- Proven experience owning the entire development cycle: design, coding, testing, code review, deployment, and monitoring — not just writing features and handing them off.
- Familiarity with common design tools such as Figma and Storybook
Testing & delivery
- Practical experience with frontend testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent) covering unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, and a good understanding of what "production-ready" means.
- Comfort with debugging and troubleshooting issues across the stack, including in production environments.
Collaboration & communication
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and align with external/other engineering teams — someone who can drive consensus on shared frontend standards, not just implement their own.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile/scrum environments (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Engineering practices
- Familiarity with modern frontend architecture concepts: component-driven design, design systems, state management patterns, accessibility (a11y), and performance/optimization techniques.
- Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web fundamentals (DOM, network behavior, rendering).
- A pragmatic approach to using AI-assisted development tools — someone who can direct and verify AI-generated code, not just accept it.
Nice to have
- Backend development experience, ideally on the .NET / C# platform (building or consuming REST APIs, working with a relational database, understanding of service-oriented or microservice architectures).
- Experience with monorepos, micro-frontend architectures, or contributing to internal component/design-system libraries.
- Prior experience in a role that spanned multiple teams or products, requiring you to negotiate technical standards across organizational boundaries.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
