Job Description
Velotic is seeking a strategic and operationally focused IT Director, Business & Enterprise Applications to lead the vision, delivery, and governance of our enterprise application portfolio. This leader will oversee platforms that power our core business operations — with Oracle NetSuite as our ERP backbone spanning financials, procurement, revenue recognition, and fixed asset management, Salesforce as our CRM and customer engagement platform, Workday for HRIS, and a growing ecosystem of best-in-class SaaS tools across billing, compensation, tax, FP&A, and professional services.
A key priority in the first year will be supporting Velotic's exit from inherited Transition Service Agreements (TSAs), standing up independent application capabilities, and leading tool selection and implementation for categories where decisions are still being finalized.
Responsibilities
The IT Director, Business & Enterprise Applications, is expected to be a collaborative and delivery-oriented leader with deep command of enterprise platforms and a commitment to enabling Velotic's operational independence and growth.
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of Velotic's enterprise application portfolio, anchored by Oracle NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM) and spanning the full business application ecosystem
- Lead tool selection, implementation, and stabilization for application categories still under evaluation, including FP&A, tax, CLM/e-signature, compensation and commission, and professional services platforms
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and stabilization of applications required to exit TSA dependencies from prior parent companies or acquired entities
- Manage and optimize Boomi as Velotic's integration layer, ensuring clean, scalable data flows across the application portfolio
- Partner closely with Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of application managers, business systems analysts, and integration engineers
- Drive application governance frameworks including change management, vendor management, and system integration standards
- Oversee system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Establish and monitor KPIs for application performance, uptime, and user adoption
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend investments that improve operational efficiency and business agility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing enterprise applications
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle NetSuite ERP is required across multiple functional areas (financials, billing, procurement, revenue recognition)
- Experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Revenue Cloud) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred), compensation and commission tools, FP&A platforms, and CLM or e-signature solutions
- Demonstrated experience navigating TSA exits, carve-outs, spin-offs, or post-acquisition application integrations
- Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional system implementations and integrations, including integration middleware platforms (experience with Boomi a plus)
- Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with manufacturing logistics, managing vendor relationships, tool evaluations, and SaaS contract negotiations preferred
