Job Description

Position Overview

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will provide support to the Chromalloy San Diego site, which will include the development and deployment of HR (Human Resources) strategies in support of short term and long-term business goals. The incumbent must have a variety of experience, education, and “hand’s on” administration in all aspects of HR.

This role requires the incumbent to work in a collaborative team environment and be a role model for the Site’s positive employee philosophy.

The HRG will be responsible for delivering support to a client group of approximately 200 employees with occasional support to other Chromalloy sites.

Incumbents are required to be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident per FAA requirements.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position are:

  • Ensures compliance with company HR guidelines, corporate guidelines as well as local (San Diego), state (CA) and federal laws.
  • Create and implement key compliance programs by process mapping and standard work.
  • Proactively build relationships with all employees by conducting daily walk through of operations areas, attends daily Production Lead and Senior Leadership Team meetings, to ensure open two-way communication with the department.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding all new associates at the site. Ensures positions are posted internally, externally and to state job boards. Screens, coordinates, and conducts interviews with management, as needed.
  • Create and execute the site’s HR communications plan.
  • Drive and execute the site's Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) including the training and education of Hiring Managers, Outreach Program, AAP recordkeeping and tracking, compensation analysis, etc.
  • Responsible for record keeping related to new hires, employee reviews, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.
  • Administers, monitors and provides counsel on mid-year and annual performance review program, in a timely and consistent manner, to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and standardization within the organization.

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • HR Certification: PHR, SPHR, similar (preferred)
  • California Employment Law: 1 year (required)
