Job Description
**Essential Duties**
- **Lead and energize** your Neighborhood as Manager, building and sustaining a nursing team that's genuinely excited to come to work.
- **Dive into** quality indicator reports, spot opportunities for improvement, and champion corrective actions from start to finish.
- **Empower your team** through engaging new and ongoing education that keeps everyone sharp and motivated.
- **Stay vigilant** about safety hazards and jump on corrective actions to keep everyone protected.
- **Partner up** with the DON and team to coordinate and monitor our infection control program—keeping residents and staff healthy and thriving.
- **Collaborate** on evaluating and supervising resident care, making thoughtful recommendations and adjustments that make a real difference.
- **Get involved** in reviewing resident pre-admission and admission information to nail the right level of service from day one.
- **Build your team** by interviewing, hiring, and supporting staff development—plus handling the tough conversations when needed.
- **Oversee clinical operations** as required, ensuring excellence across the board.
- **Create buzz** around educational programs that comply with all federal, state, and local regulations while keeping our team engaged and informed.
- **Keep a close eye** on how care is being delivered by nursing staff, stepping in with coaching and corrective action to maintain our high standards.
- **Track and report** on key metrics and performance indicators to keep leadership informed.
- **Champion our culture** by actively supporting Masterpiece Living and Eden Alternative initiatives—bringing successful aging and person-centered care to life every single day.
- **Flex and adapt** by taking on other duties as assigned to support our mission.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- Registered Nurse in good standing in the state of operation, long-term care experience preferred.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
- 1 – 3 years experience as an LPN/RN.
- 1 – 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- 1 year of experience in educating and/or training adult learners.
- Expertise in PPS, MDS, OBRA and OSHA requirements preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of state and federal laws and regulations for skilled nursing facility operation in the State of operation.
- Administrative experience preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate competence in relevant technology.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
