Job Description

Position Summary

Performs billing and accounting functions for the company in accordance with industry standards as well as those practices set forth by the Company. Unifies the billing distinction for Triple Check and monthly billing processes.  Responsibilities include billing, bank reconciliation, journal entries, financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and audit preparation.

Essential Duties

  • Prepares, maintains and is knowledgeable of resident accounts; distributes account statements accurately recording disbursements, billing charges, receipts, and all other adjustment transactions on billing statements.
  • Assists with Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party billing including verifying insurance eligibility.
  • Perform tasks ranging from data entry to assignments involving critical thinking and research.
  • Maintains company cash accounts, accurately records changes and adjustments in appropriate documents; performs timely account reconciliation of Company bank accounts.
  • Provides information to residents, their family members, and all third-party vendors and/or inquiries made regarding accounts.
  • Reconciles receivables with external vendors.
  • In compliance with the Company’s policies, participates in interviewing, hiring, on-boarding and development of assigned staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Point Click Care experience helpful. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable and billing in health care helpful.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of MS Office to include Excel.   
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Physical effort generally not required.
  • Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Interacts with residents, family members, and third party vendor’s frequently.
