Job Overview:
We are looking for an upbeat, energetic technician/mechanic with a positive attitude to step in as a leader amongst our technicians. The ideal addition to our team is a proactive problem-solver who leads by example and shares our strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Direct and collaborate with other technicians to solve difficult problems, meet shop deadlines, and consistently deliver distinguished results.
- Lead by example in utilizing advanced knowledge and skills to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles for our guests.
- Continuously build personal expertise across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles while actively mentoring and developing fellow technicians.
- Teach and coach fellow technicians to perform full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections, setting a high standard of quality for the entire shop.
- Guide the shop team in troubleshooting complex guest concerns to ensure quick and effective resolutions.
- Champion and enforce our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization throughout the shop.
- Act as a key liaison between the technicians and the service department, ensuring clear and effective communication of vehicle concerns.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and a desire to lead technician Team and serve guests
- 7+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Meet or exceed hourly goals
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Efficiently navigate a computer
