ASE L1 MASTER Technician

Job Overview:

The Master Technician is responsible for flagging shop hours;  from diagnosis, small and major repair, heavy line, differential repair.   

We are looking for technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guest.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage updates for shop tools, OEM scan tools, alignment machine, etc.
  • Mentor younger technicians 
  • Help other technicians diagnose and repair vehicles when necessary (i.e., misdiagnosis, employee development, etc.)
  • Contribute as a technician team member to uphold brand and quality standards of the  team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
  • Monitor bulk fluid levels
  • Monitor shop efficiency through technician hours reports and ticket audit process
  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Experienced Master Certified L1, or equivalent certification.
  • Expert Drivability/diagnostic technical
  • Electrical experience with all makes and models
  • 10+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic required, 20+ years preferred
  • Willing to help train/mentor other team members
  • Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
  • Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
  • Meet or exceed hourly goals
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
  • Professional appearance and strong communication
  • A desire for long-term career development

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
  • Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
  • Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
  • Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
  • Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
  • Drive manual transmissions vehicles
  • Efficiently navigate a computer
