Children’s Therapy Center is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team! Our SLP will join our home-based Early Support team serving children from birth to three years old, within our Renton, WA service area. Our preferred candidate is experienced, with training in parent coaching, sensory processing, play-based therapy, feeding, and/or NDT. (S)he will have a strong passion for helping children with special needs, and their families reach their full potential.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate goals
- Maintain timely treatment records and progress reports
- Consistently assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide parent coaching and support as an integral part of the therapy program
- Order assistive devices, and/or adaptive equipment as necessary
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team
Qualifications
Demonstrable experience and other qualifications:
- Degree in communication sciences or a related major from an accredited college or university
- Dedicated to quality, with a willingness to learn and share
- Experience working with children with developmental delay or disability preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff and multi-disciplinary teams
- Must have or obtain a SLP license in the State of Washington
- Must have or obtain ASHA Certification
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications and a valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation
