Company Description
At Check Point, what you do matters. Every day, we protect over 100,000 organizations worldwide from increasingly sophisticated cyber and AI-driven threats, securing their AI transformation.
Our prevention-first approach safeguards hybrid networks, cloud environments, digital workspaces, and AI systems, stopping attacks before they happen.
This is where innovation meets real-world impact. You’ll help customers across industries operate with confidence in a rapidly changing digital world, working alongside smart, curious people who take ownership, challenge assumptions, and solve complex problems.
We’re proud to be recognized by TIME, Newsweek, and Forbes for excellence and workplace culture.
What really sets Check Point apart is the opportunity to grow, contribute, and help companies navigate their AI transformation securely.
If you’re excited to work at the forefront of AI-driven security on a global scale, this is the place to do it.
About the Role
We are looking for an R&D Solutions Engineer to join the Agentic AI team within Check Point’s AI for Security organization. This is a customer-facing role embedded directly within R&D, with a dotted-line relationship to the broader Solutions Engineering organization. You will work closely with R&D, Product, Sales, and SE teams to bring new Agentic AI capabilities into the hands of customers early, learn from real-world usage, and help turn emerging capabilities into products and sales motions that can scale.
You will report directly to the Director of Agentic AI within the AI for Security organization.
This is not a traditional presales SE role. Your primary focus will be building and managing relationships with design partners and Early Access (EA) customers, driving them toward meaningful product usage, and creating a tight feedback loop between customers and the teams building the product. You will also play a key role in taking capabilities that initially require direct R&D involvement and making them repeatable for the broader Check Point SE organization.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Own Design Partners and Early Access Customers
- Identify and recruit strong candidates for design partnerships and Early Access programs, working closely with Sales and SE teams.
- Own the technical relationship with design partners and EA customers from initial engagement through deployment and ongoing usage.
- Build and maintain a healthy portfolio of actively engaged design partners.
- Understand customers’ environments, workflows, security requirements, and success criteria.
- Help customers deploy, configure, integrate, and evaluate emerging Agentic AI capabilities.
- Drive customers toward meaningful real-world usage rather than isolated demos or proofs of concept.
- Track adoption, outcomes, blockers, and feedback across the design partner and EA portfolio.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with customers to ensure early enthusiasm turns into sustained engagement and actionable product feedback.
Bring the Field into R&D
- Develop a deep understanding of how customers use the product and where they encounter friction.
- Translate customer conversations into concrete product requirements, technical insights, and prioritization signals for R&D and Product.
- Identify recurring patterns across customers rather than treating every request as a one-off.
- Work directly with engineers and product leaders to reproduce issues, validate assumptions, and test potential solutions.
- Regularly synthesize customer feedback into clear recommendations for R&D and Product.
- Help the R&D organization understand what is required for new capabilities to succeed in real production environments.
Make New Capabilities Sellable and Repeatable
- Continuously improve technical sales collateral based on what works in real customer conversations.
- Build and maintain demos, technical presentations, solution guides, deployment guidance, FAQs, objection handling, and other enablement materials.
- Develop repeatable technical narratives, qualification criteria, and demo flows that can be adopted by the broader SE organization.
- Enable Check Point SEs on new Agentic AI capabilities and support technically complex early customer engagements.
- Partner with Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and SE leadership as capabilities mature from Early Access toward broader availability.
- Help transition capabilities from R&D-led customer engagements into motions that regular Check Point SEs can successfully execute.
Build Customer Evidence and Case Studies
- Proactively identify design partners and EA customers that can become strong customer references and case studies.
- Drive the technical and customer-facing work required to turn successful deployments into concrete, evidence-based case studies, in collaboration with customers, Sales, Product Marketing, and other relevant teams.
- Capture measurable customer outcomes, use cases, deployment details, and lessons learned so that case studies are credible and useful to the broader field organization.
- Own the process through completion rather than treating customer advocacy as a handoff after the technical engagement.
Qualifications
- Prior experience at Check Point or another cybersecurity company that develops and sells enterprise firewall or firewall management products. This is a mandatory requirement.
- Strong understanding of enterprise firewall and security-management environments, including how these products are evaluated, deployed, managed, and operated by customers.
- Significant customer-facing experience in a technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Account Management, or a similar position.
- Experience working directly with enterprise security teams and understanding their technical and operational requirements.
- Ability to build credibility with both deeply technical practitioners and senior customer stakeholders.
- Strong hands-on technical skills and the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and demonstrate complex software systems.
- Experience leading customer evaluations, pilots, design partnerships, or Early Access programs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop customer references, success stories, or case studies from successful technical engagements.
- Ability to turn ambiguous customer feedback into concrete technical and product insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical presentations and sales collateral.
- Comfortable operating in an environment where the product is evolving quickly and the playbook is still being created.
- Strong ownership and ability to drive customer engagements across R&D, Product, Sales, and SE organizations.
Strong Advantages
- Hands-on experience with LLM applications, AI agents, or production AI systems.
- Experience with APIs, cloud environments, integrations, and enterprise software architectures.
- Experience launching new products or capabilities with design partners before general availability.
- Experience moving between R&D/product and customer-facing roles.
- Experience building technical enablement and transferring an early sales motion to a larger SE organization.
