About the Team

The Exposure Management group is one of Check Point's newest and fastest-growing organizations, built around a vision to reinvent how companies manage cyber risk. We bring together threat intelligence, AI, cloud-scale platforms, attack surface management, exposure validation, and automated remediation into a unified security platform used by enterprises worldwide.

Joining our team means working on cutting-edge cybersecurity products, solving complex technical challenges at scale, and helping define how organizations operationalize Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM). You'll collaborate with world-class engineers, researchers, product leaders, and security experts to build solutions that transform security intelligence into meaningful action.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth organization where you'll have the agility, ownership, and impact of a startup, backed by the scale, resources, and global reach of Check Point. Together, we're building the next generation of cybersecurity solutions that help organizations stay ahead of emerging threats.

We are looking for a technically strong, AI-driven engineering leader to own our Digital Risk Protection domain - the front line against phishing, brand impersonation, and social media threats targeting our customers. This role combines hands-on engineering depth with team leadership and a relentless drive to automate protection at scale.

Job Description

  • Lead and mentor your engineering team; set technical direction, run code reviews, and grow individual contributors into owners.
  • Own the end-to-end engineering of phishing detection, takedown workflows, and social media impersonation protection — from data ingestion to customer-facing outcomes.
  • Design and drive AI-powered automation across the DRP pipeline: intelligent detection models, automated takedown orchestration, and adaptive response workflows that reduce manual intervention.
  • Define and execute on a vision for self-improving protection systems — where AI identifies new threat patterns, prioritizes takedown candidates, and learns from resolution outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Threat Intelligence, and platform teams to deliver high-impact features with speed and quality.
  • Track and own key delivery and quality metrics; lead technical debt reduction and architecture improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
  • 2+ years leading an engineering team or acting as a tech lead in a product organization.
  • Deep proficiency in Python and experience working with Elasticsearch, SQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Experience with message queue systems such as SQS and Kafka in production environments.
  • Cloud experience with SaaS products - AWS preferred.
  • Proficiency with software architecture: designing scalable, maintainable systems in a distributed environment.
  • Hands-on experience building and shipping AI/ML-powered features in production - classification models, NLP pipelines, or LLM-based workflows.
  • Practical experience with AI agents, prompt engineering, or orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply AI to automate detection, triage, or response workflows - not just prototype, but deliver at scale.

Advantages

  • Background in cyber security, threat intelligence, or digital risk domains.
  • Experience building detection or classification systems (phishing, fraud, brand abuse).
  • Familiarity with takedown automation workflows or brand protection platforms.
  • Web scraping experience - building or maintaining crawlers, scrapers, or content extraction pipelines.
  • DevOps and CI/CD skills: Bitbucket, Jenkins, or similar tooling.

Key Attributes

  • Strong sense of ownership - you drive outcomes, not just tasks.
  • AI-first mindset: you ask "how do we automate this intelligently?" before "how do we build this manually."
  • Technically credible with your team while thinking strategically about the product.
  • Clear communicator who bridges engineering depth with cross-functional alignment.
  • Energized by the mission: protecting real people and organizations from real threats.
