Additional Compensation Details:

  • $100K- $120K, annual, depending on experience
  • This is a bonus eligible position
  • Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure

Job Description

The Role

The primary responsibility of the Senior Account Executive is to build relationships with new clients while helping to cultivate relationships with existing ones. They are the primary point of contact for prospective clients, offering them guidance while simultaneously assessing their needs and making sure they can be met. This position will lead specific sales team(s) tasked with growing and achieving sales targets for the company. The Senior Account Executive will coordinate all sales activities with sales team(s) and Sales Manager(s). Sales Management will meet with Senior Account Executive’s daily/weekly to ensure sales targets and objectives are achieved. The Senior Account Executive will be designated special projects beyond that of an account manager’s daily duties. These assigned duties will be pre-determined and mutually agreed upon account executive and sales management. These duties will continue to evolve and adjust to exceed the needs of our business and customers.

This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of produce sales to ensure satisfactory sales and profits for the company. Addressing the needs and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. This includes assigned customers, as well as the accounts of other company salespeople.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

  • Organize and provide assistance for special sales and promotions
  • Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well-being of the division and/or company
  • Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets and growing conditions
  • Make presentations of profitable programs to potential and existing customers
  • Notify and assist buyers, operations and sales support people by communication of customer's needs and preferences
  • Maintain effective, professional relationships with retailers, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Assist in departmental resets and grand openings when called upon
  • Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well-being of the division and/or company
  • Attend all sales meetings and appointments, (be on time, punctual)
  • Responsible for individual accounts sales and gross profit
  • Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut-off times
  • Responsible for processing and turning in credit memos, responsibility forms and other job related paperwork within the set timelines
  • Pursuing new accounts
  • Calling on Existing Customers
  • Phone Sales
  • Keep abreast of new markets and new market items
  • Develop Pricing Strategies and order guides
  • Meet Company sales and profit goals
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Walk warehouse-checking product at least once a day

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Must have thorough knowledge and expertise of produce commodities and be capable of providing expert consulting to current and potential customers
  • Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal human relations and teaming skills
  • Must be quick and accurate with paperwork, figures, attentive to detail, and have good follow-through
  • Must have excellent phone skills
  • Must have PC skills
  • Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously
  • Must have proven problem-solving skills
  • Must be skilled in time management and be capable of meeting work schedule deadlines
  • Must have demonstrated excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills
  • Prefer both retail and wholesale produce experience
  • Must have an excellent work record with references from current and/or previous employers
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects
  • Prefer a college degree or minimum high school

Additional Information

This is a safety-sensitive position.
