Job Description

Catch22’s Greater Manchester Victim Services is looking for a dedicated Victim Care Specialist – Fraud & Finance to deliver enhanced, person-centred support to victims of fraud and economic crime.

Alongside working with victims of various forms of crime in the Greater Manchester region, you will provide direct support to victims—helping them navigate the criminal justice system, understand their rights, and recover from the emotional and financial impact of fraud. You'll manage your own caseload, design innovative preventative sessions, and work closely with key partners like Action Fraud and GMP. You’ll also co-develop accessible, engaging resources for diverse groups and help upskill colleagues in fraud-specific support.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape victim services in Catch22's growing Victim Service. 

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) – essential

  • Relevant qualification in victim support or economic crime – desirable

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals

  • Strong understanding of fraud and economic crime victimisation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple agencies and manage high-volume caseloads

  • Confident delivering awareness sessions and designing tailored interventions

  • Proactive, empathetic, and solutions-focused approach

Other Requirements

  • Flexibility to work in the community and outside standard hours

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use

Additional Requirements: Successful post-holders will need to have a full UK Driving License and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes. The NPPV (non-police personnel vetting) check also requires that the post-holder has lived in the UK for the past 3 years with a few exceptions.

Contract: Permanent

Hours & work pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. 

Salary: £27,000.00

Location: Hybrid offer 2 days at GMP Force HQ and 3 days WFH (Work from Home) or out in the community or other partner locations.

Screening: Successful admission to post subject to enhanced DBS check, police vetting check, and employer Right To Work in the UK check. The post-holder must have right to work in the UK. Catch22 does not currently provide a licence to sponsor visas but please see this register to see those that do.

Shift information: 

Hours and days worked will change week-by-week on a rota basis. The work pattern will vary but start and end times of the day will be consistent across the week.

Every 4 week term will include one working Saturday (with a non-working week day during that week) and one Sunday on call.

Shift start times and end time will be between 0800-1800 and be a 7.5 hour work day.
