Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Senior Project Manager will primarily be responsible for directly managing design and construction teams during pre-development and development phases in support of the overall project goals.
Duties:
· Management and oversight of construction related activities as they relate to new builds or general capital projects.
· Management of the project scope, timeline, and budget.
· Management and hiring of general contractors during the bidding, award, execution
· Oversight for quality control and final delivered project.
· Support executive negotiations with general contractors
· Organize and manage requests for proposals.
· Manage constructability reviews during the design phase.
· Overall construction administration responsibility during the design phase.
· Management of a small CM team on one or more projects.
Supporting the development manager for budgeting and reporting
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
· Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the construction field, construction contract administration, project set up and project close out.
· Experience in the hospitality and residential markets is preferred.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. PMP preferred.

Additional Information
Carr currently has over $600 million in hotel properties under asset management; the Willard Hotel in downtown Washington, the Embassy Suites at the King Street Metro, and the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia. These properties comprise over 1,000 keys and some of the best meeting facilities in the Washington, D.C. area. With the foundation of success these properties represent, Carr intends to grow a portfolio of strategically located properties to serve the Washington, D.C. metro area.
