Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Finance Analyst – FP&A plays a critical role in Mudah’s financial planning and performance management function. This role is responsible for the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting cycle, delivering robust financial reporting, and translating financial data into clear, actionable insights that support business decisions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own and manage the end-to-end quarterly forecasting process, including consolidation of inputs from all business units
  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle — coordinating with department heads, setting timelines, consolidating submissions, and presenting final budgets to leadership
  • Develop rolling forecast models that reflect current business performance and emerging trends
  • Monitor actuals vs. budget/forecast; prepare variance analysis with clear commentary and recommendations

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to senior leadership and the Head of Business
  • Develop standardised financial dashboards and reporting templates that enable consistent tracking of KPIs and business metrics
  • Conduct deep-dive financial analysis on revenue, cost structures, and profitability drivers across business segments
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reports and models

3. Business Partnership & Decision Support

  • Serve as a finance business partner to commercial, product, and marketing teams — providing financial context and analysis to support day-to-day decision-making
  • Provide financial analysis to support pricing decisions, cost management, and resource allocation discussions
  • Assess the financial impact of operational changes or business initiatives, flagging risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure alignment between management accounts and statutory reporting
  • Act as the primary finance liaison between Mudah and Carousell Group HQ, supporting group reporting, planning cycles, performance reviews, and strategic discussions

4. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Continuously improve forecasting accuracy through better modelling techniques, driver-based planning, and process standardisation
  • Develop and automate financial reporting and forecasting processes using AI tools and modern productivity solutions, reducing manual effort and improving turnaround times
  • Identify and implement tools or systems to enhance FP&A capabilities and reporting efficiency

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA) is an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management accounting
  • Prior experience in a high-growth tech company, marketplace platform, or digital media environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience owning budgeting and forecasting processes end-to-end
  • Background in audit or corporate finance (financial modelling, valuation) is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesise complex financial data into clear, concise narratives for non-finance audiences
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities
