Job Description

At Cho Tot, we aspire to make secondhand the first choice by delivering a reliable and effective re-commerce platform for millions of Vietnamese to buy and sell used items. We are looking for a committed and strong Business Analyst for Chotot Auto (VEH) and Goods (GDS) verticals (covering Automotives, Electronics, Home Appliances, Pets, Fashion & Accessories, etc. categories). Both tracks (Senior BA and BA) are open - Level will be calibrated to your proven competencies during the interview. You will own a hybrid mandate: (primary) driving Go-To-Market and Monetisation on one side (pricing, packaging, premium feature adoption, monetisation experiments) and (secondary) keeping the marketplace healthy on one side (supply–demand balance, seller success, ecosystem KPIs). You will work side-by-side with Product, Commercial, Growth, Data and Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run monetisation as a product, not a tax. Research, design, go-to-market and monitor pricing, and new monetisation schemes. Measure adoption, willingness-to-pay, and downstream effect on seller success — and have the discipline to kill what doesn't work.

  • Partner with Commercial and Growth. Maximise adoption of premium offerings in target segments, and own the analysis loop that closes the gap between what we ship and what sellers actually use and pay for.

  • Drive deep segmentation work. Build a sharp segmentation of sellers across VEH and GDS (dealers vs. C2C, power sellers, the Business Owner segment, new sellers, churn-risk sellers, etc.), and turn each segment into a clear playbook for Product, Commercial, and Marketing.

  • Drive market health. Monitor supply–demand balance, listing quality, buyer–seller matching, and seller retention. Spot leading indicators of category fatigue or stagnation before they show up in revenue, and bring solutions — not just slides — to the table.

  • Co-own VEH and GDS planning. Drive annual and quarterly planning across both verticals — connecting seller success to revenue outcomes, not treating them as separate goals.

  • Be the data-informed voice in product discovery. Work with Product from problem definition through ideation, A/B test design, results analysis, and post-launch optimisation. Push back when the data doesn't support the roadmap.

  • Stay close to users — frequently. Combine quantitative depth with qualitative texture. Run seller interviews, sit with the Commercial team, watch real listings being posted. Bring back insight that data alone cannot produce.

  • Operate at AI-native leverage. Use BigQuery, SQL, Claude / agentic tools, and automation to compress the time from question to insight. Build re-usable dashboards, queries, and scheduled reports instead of repeating manual pulls.

  • Deliver the cadence. Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and market-health reporting that leadership can act on — concise narratives, not data dumps. Plus the ad-hoc projects that come with operating a vertical of this scale.

Qualifications

Required of both Senior BA and BA tracks:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Performance Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you can decompose a vague business question into testable hypotheses and chase them down with data.

  • Genuine competency in SQL and BigQuery — you write queries to answer questions, not just to populate dashboards. Excel / Google Sheets fluency is assumed.

  • Hybrid user-focused and data-informed mindset — you move comfortably between a P&L view and a single seller's story.

  • AI-forward working habits — you have already adopted AI tools into your day-to-day work and can point to specific things you have automated, built, or accelerated with them.

  • Bias for ownership, sharp judgement, and a high standard for the work you ship.

  • Self-motivation, strong time management, and attention to detail — especially when reporting numbers leadership will rely on.

  • Professional proficiency in Vietnamese and working proficiency in English.

  • Solid understanding of cohort retention analysis and two-sided marketplace dynamics (supply-demand balance, take-rate mechanics, and category health indicators).

Senior track:

  • 4+ years of business analysis or business performance experience, ideally in marketplaces, e-commerce, classifieds, or platforms with two-sided dynamics.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a P&L line, a vertical, or a monetisation surface — not just contribution to one.

  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision: scoping your own work, prioritising across competing stakeholders, and influencing Product and Commercial leaders.

  • Experience designing and running monetisation or pricing experiments end-to-end — hypothesis, design, instrumentation, readout, decision.

  • Track record of mentoring or upskilling other analysts.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with the Vietnamese secondhand automotive or goods market (VEH or GDS).

  • Prior experience in e-commerce, classifieds, or a two-sided marketplace business.

  • Exposure to pricing or packaging experimentation frameworks.
