Additional hours will be required during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and to meet deadlines. Travel up to 15% annually.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Month-End Close & Accounting Operations
- Own and lead the CAM month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar, ensuring all deliverables are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.

- Oversee key accounting areas including revenue recognition, inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, leases under ASC 842, and reserves, including inventory, bad debt, and warranty.
Consolidation & Intercompany
- Load CAM financial results into Oracle FCCS, perform and review the consolidation, and resolve data validation errors.
- Maintain and review chart-of-accounts and entity mappings between source ERPs and FCCS.
- Ensure intercompany balances and transactions are recorded correctly, reconciled, and eliminated; investigate and resolve out-of-balance items with counterparties on a timely basis.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Review financial statements for integrity, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and Carlisle accounting policies.
- Prepare month-over-month, year-over-year, budget, and forecast variance analysis and clearly explain drivers of results to business unit and corporate leadership.
- Prepare and support quarterly reporting packages and supplemental schedules supporting Carlisle’s SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, disclosures, commitments, and contingencies as requested.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to support leadership decision-making.
- Partner with FP&A and business unit leadership on the annual budget, forecasts, and long-range planning, providing actual results and accounting insight.
Internal Controls, SOX & Audit
- Own the design and operating effectiveness of SOX key controls within the CAM accounting function and ensure controls are performed, evidenced, and reviewed on time.
- Identify and remediate control deficiencies and support management’s quarterly control certifications and sub-certifications.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audit at CAM, respond to inquiries, provide documentation, and drive timely resolution of audit findings.
- Partner with Financial Reporting & Controls to ensure compliance with SOX and audit requirements, and with Information Security on system access reviews and segregation of duties.
- Research and document technical accounting matters and new accounting pronouncements; prepare accounting position memos as needed.
Process Improvement, Systems & Automation
- Lead the integration of CAM into BlackLine for account reconciliations and journal entries and drive adoption across the team.
- Identify and lead process improvements that shorten the close, reduce manual effort, and improve data quality.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, desk procedures, and accounting policies and procedures aligned with Carlisle’s enterprise accounting framework.
- Partner with Shared Services and Financial Systems & Automation on process standardization, ERP harmonization, and automation initiatives.
- Support accounting due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions as needed.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, review, and direct the work of the accounting team; set clear priorities and performance expectations.
- Train, coach, and develop team members; conduct performance evaluations and support career development and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Other
- Support compliance with tax requirements by providing data for income tax provisions, sales and use tax, and property tax filings, and coordinating with Corporate Tax.
