The Out of Home (OOH) team is responsible for overseeing business centers operated by individual Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMBs) or national accounts, with a primary focus on childcare and senior care centers. You'll work on the technology platform powering our out-of-home provider network — the products and systems that support our relationships with daycare centers, family childcare providers, preschools, camps, and other businesses providing services outside the home.

• Design, develop, and deploy features across both front-end and back-end
• Integrate with essential third-party services and APIs
• Ensure appropriate automated test coverage for efficient uptime and product reliability
• Communicate blockers and progress clearly with the engineering team and cross-functional partners
• Rapidly grow the platform and build new functionalities

• 3–5 years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB)
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Redis
• Clear and effective communicator with a proven track record of collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams
• Comfortable building new products as well as testing and refactoring existing code
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Salary Range:  $120,000 - 145,000 The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
