Clinical Supervisor - Mobile Unit

Services have been expanded from the original in-patient facility to include drug and alcohol treatment, a day facility providing activity and work experience for adults with intellectual disabilities, behavioral health programs that include: wellness centers, outpatient programs for children and adults, homeless outreach, rural and metro programs that work with law enforcement, hotlines and many other tailored programs to community needs. Our Tele-Psychiatry program has provided services to rural areas since 1997. More recently MIS support for over 20 counties and Health Information Analytics have supported behavioral health organizations and counties. Cost Reporting and Quality Improvement services are helping counties meet State and local requirements.

Job Description
Clinical Supervisor - Mobile Unit
The Clinical Supervisor provides direct supervision of program staff and overall operations of the Kings View South Tulare County Mobile Unit/ South One Stop Clinics. Assures adherence to policies and procedures, making recommendations as appropriate. Provides direct mental health services to consumers and assistance in crisis situations as needed. Manages On-Call schedule and participates in the rotation. Oversees clinical documentation and adherence to Tulare County standards. Represents the organization before Tulare County HHSA and the community and works in cooperation with other Team Leaders.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of a clinic, providing clinical direction and quality control for all services provided to diverse populations.
May also perform comprehensive intake assessments for persons with serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance seeking Specialty Mental Health Services.
Provide psychotherapeutic interventions/services in accordance with accepted professional and ethical standards of licensing/regulatory bodies.
Conducts Individual, Family and Group sessions as needed.
Guidance of team regarding making CPS/CWS reports.
Adapt the assessment and treatment processes to accommodate variations in readiness for treatment/change, and implications of age, cultural, medical, economic or other relevant factors.
May be assigned administrative responsibilities, including scheduling and case assignments; prepare and present progress reports on assigned cases.
Provide advocacy and systemic support for client mental health and community activities.
In the absence of the Clinical/Program Manager, provide selected administrative direction to the team.
Serve as lead Clinician, providing clinical consult/supervision for Mental Health Clinician I/II’s and Crisis Care Coordinators.
Assist in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures as assigned.
Assist Clinical/Program Manager and the treatment team in preparing for chart audits.
Assist Clinical Manager with other departmental duties as assigned.
Maintain service logs and produce department statistics as assigned.
Maintain shift assignment calendars as assigned.
Develop and participate in training on a variety of topics such as cultural competency, clinical practice, compliance, treatments planning, case management and make presentations to local agencies and community groups regarding issues related to mental health and or substance abuse.
May encounter risk of working with persons with SMI (serious mental illness) that may include, but not limited to persons in mental health crisis, persons that may be intoxicated or impaired by drugs or alcohol, persons who may be DTO (danger to others), DTS (Danger to Self), or GD (Gravely Disabled). If such situations arise, staff will be required to call local emergency personnel to help deescalate the crisis, use crisis intervention techniques, and consult with Clinical Manager as soon as practically possible.
Qualifications
Education: Master Degree
Area of Study: psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or related
Years of Experience: 3
Driving Requirements: Class C
Professional Certification: LCSW or LMFT certification
BBS Registration: Required
Experience:
Two years post licensure experience in a mental health setting, or one-year post licensure experience plus one year of supervising/directing the activities of other clinical staff in a mental health setting, or one year of post-licensure experience plus one year of experience in staff supervision, administration, and personnel management in any related human service endeavor.
Specialized Knowledge:
Smart Care or other EHR experience and proficient in computer skills, knowledgeable regarding outcomes measures, breadth of knowledge encompassing various and diverse psychological interventions and theories, competency in adhering to budget.
Abilities:
Ability to utilize computer technology as required for admission, documentation and other uses. Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes-hectic environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to make a differential diagnosis between substance abuse and psychiatric emergencies. Ability to appropriately and immediately document interactions with patients and potential patients.
Characteristics:
