Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations. We offer flexibility in how and where you work. We trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

About the Team

The Sales Strategy and Programs team plays a meaningful role in supporting the revenue growth at Canva by creating clarity on our overall revenue and GTM strategy and plan. The team sits within the broader Sales Ops/Strategy/Systems organization that aligns our go-to-market efforts across Sales/Customer Success/Marketing as well as company leadership.

About the Role

We're looking for a Global Quota & Planning Lead to join our central Sales Strategy & Operations team. This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of how we plan, allocate, and optimize revenue targets across our global sales org.

You'll own quota, forecasting, headcount planning, and the revenue models that underpin how we run the business — working closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Recruiting, and People to keep everything aligned.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end global quota process — designing fair, data-informed targets that translate top-down revenue goals into territory- and rep-level quotas that motivate and stretch the right way.
  • Build and maintain the models and frameworks behind our quota methodology, tracking attainment trends and continuously improving how we plan.
  • Partner with Finance, RevOps, and Sales Leadership to align quota plans with annual and quarterly business targets.
  • Own and maintain the revenue models that drive how we think about Sales capacity, growth, and performance.
  • Work closely with the Compensation team to make sure goaling and compensation plans are always in lock step.
  • Own the global sales forecast process, translating sales bookings and ARR projections into clear, reliable outputs for Finance.
  • Partner with Recruiting and the People team to manage headcount across the broader Sales and Success organization.
  • Connect hiring plans to capacity models so we're always staffed to hit our goals.

What we're looking for

We’re searching for someone who’s not only analytical but also thrives on making complexity feel simple. You’re motivated by building systems that empower people, and you see the ripple effect of your work across teams. You care about accuracy and clarity, but you’re also excited by the creative challenge of designing incentive models that inspire. Most importantly, you’re someone who enjoys balancing strategy with action—rolling up your sleeves and finding solutions in ambiguity, while always keeping the bigger picture in sight.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring both technical excellence and a proactive, people-first approach:

Experience

  • Industry Knowledge: 6+ years of experience in a fast paced SaaS sales organization.
  • Analytical expertise: Strong command of SQL and advanced Excel/Google Sheets for complex modeling and forecasting.
  • Proactive problem-solving: You think critically, anticipate challenges, and address them before they become roadblocks.
  • Clear communication: You build trust by being open, direct, and proactive—especially when communicating about targets, budgets, and compensation.
  • Systems thinking: You love building scalable processes that create clarity and efficiency across global teams.
  • Collaborative influence: You’re skilled at partnering with Sales, Finance, and Operations, bringing people along the journey with confidence and clarity.
  • Motivated by impact: You know that behind every number is a team, and you’re driven by helping them succeed.
