Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to the VP Maintenance for the duties and responsibilities outlined in the CHL Maintenance Control and Policy Manual, section under “Quality Manager”.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager must help the organization meet its Safety and Quality objectives. Accordingly, the person should understand that the role of Quality Assurance is not only to identify system deficiencies but to assist in their rectification.
  • Responsible to the VP, Safety & Quality for any tasks and duties assigned such as, but not limited to:
    • the continuous improvement of the company Safety Management System.
    • ongoing safety education and promotion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in aviation;
  • Valid M1 or M2 AME license an asset;
  • Previous managerial or inspector exposure to QA Systems would be an asset;
  • Sound knowledge of CARs;
  • Sound understanding of Safety principles (hazard identification, risk assessment, human factors, etc.);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office components.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
