Job Description
Today, CS Group Canada is looking for a Hardware Software Integration Test Specialist to be integrated within a team of Software Engineers with a strong understanding of real time operating systems and low-level software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HW/SW Integration Test campaign on target HW for Railway project (EN 50128 – SIL 4).
- Create and optimize automated test cases with continuous improvements in coverage and efficiency.
- Provide solid traceability from software requirements to tests specifications to test cases to test results.
- Identify and run a series of tests against new software builds on reference and/or customer hardware.
- Analyze test results, debug observed issues, generate of defect reports, verify fixed issues and update pre-existing defect reports.
- Create test reports based on test results for internal and external audiences with high attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2 to 6 years experience in embedded system development, testing, design and engineering.
- Good knowledge of C language required.
- Experience with embedded operating systems is a strong asset
- Strong working knowledge of Python and shell scripting.
- Ability to enable automation for manual tests and automate test result processing.
- Ability to write clear and concise problem reports.
- Knowledge of EN 50128 and/or ISO standards.
- Knowledge of enterprise architect for design details implementation.
- Knowledge of formal test theory, test methodology, and experience in developing automated tests and testing tools.
- Familiar with Continuous Integration build systems (Jenkins)
- Familiar with source versioning, problem reporting (Microsoft Office, SVN or GIT)
- Good communication, team-player, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm, initiative, passion for quality and a desire to learn about new technologies.
