We are actively looking for people who want to develop their skillsets, take on new challenges, and advance their careers within the organization.

We are seeking a Network Planner based in the Lower Mainland to support fibre expansion and network transformation programs.

This role focuses on upstream network planning, high-level design development, and field-integrated validation across both fibre and copper infrastructure. The Planner will bridge planning and detailed design functions, ensuring scalable, build-informed solutions that consider existing copper assets and long-term fibre migration strategy.

The successful candidate will work closely with designers and project leadership while conducting site visits as required to validate planning assumptions and support integrated program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead community-level fibre and copper network planning initiatives
  • Develop high-level network layouts, capacity strategies, and migration approaches
  • Perform address analysis and infrastructure impact assessments
  • Evaluate copper plant conditions and support transition planning to fibre
  • Conduct site visits and field validation to support planning accuracy
  • Identify constraints, risks, and optimization opportunities early in the program lifecycle
  • Collaborate with design teams to transition planning concepts into detailed OSP design
  • Support integrated delivery models from planning through construction readiness

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of telecommunications planning or advanced OSP design experience
  • Strong understanding of both fibre network architecture and copper plant fundamentals
  • Experience supporting FTTH deployment and network transition programs
  • Ability to assess legacy infrastructure and develop practical migration strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to conduct field visits within the Lower Mainland

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with address analysis or demand modeling
  • Familiarity with aerial and underground plant considerations
  • Experience supporting large capital infrastructure programs
  • Experience working in environments undergoing copper-to-fibre transition
