      Job Description

      We are looking for a Project Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Operations Financial Controller - Accounting, you will provide support to managers in financial monitoring and project invoicing activities.

      We offer a flexible hybrid work mode that lets you work from home and from our Calgary office.

      Main Responsibilities

      • Maintain the financial health of a project portfolio
      • Ensure accurate recording of monthly income
      • Closely support the monthly billing process
      • Actively contribute to the improvement of Days of Sales Outstanding (DSO) by working with all stakeholders (Project Managers, accounts receivable, clients, etc.)
      • Validate all financial controls put in place to minimize errors and maximize efficiency (rate sheets, resource allocation, precise work breakdown structure), during the project opening process
      • Meet with Project Managers to monitor project finances
      • Review all contracts to ensure accuracy of revenue recognition
      • Establish and maintain a relationship of trust with our internal and external customers
      • Keep project information up to date (budgets, amendments, rates, etc.).
      • Understand and ensure compliance with CIMA+ internal control rules

      Qualifications

      • College diploma in accounting or equivalent
      • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
      • Experience in a professional services organization (asset)
      • Ability to manage multiple project priorities simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure
      • Autonomy, flexibility, agility, good communication skills, and analytical and proactive problem-solving skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite, especially Teams, Outlook, PowerBI and Excel
      • CPA designation, an asset
      • Experience with Dynamics 365, an asset
      • Experience with an ERP migration, an asset
      • Bilingual in French and English, an asset
