Job Description

The Region Manager will be responsible for the Region and the building of the GeoSoftware culture in the Region. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales and Operations the Region Manager will have four main areas of responsibility. This role will be based in either Crawley, UK or The Hague, Netherlands.

Sales & Marketing

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the sales team and counsel to the Vice President CGG GeoSoftware in the implementation of sales and software development objectives that reflect the CGG GeoSoftware business goals within the Region. You will be responsible for developing and executing the annual business plan for the region and ensuring this accurate reflects the market condition. Working closely with the Business Management team and acting as a coach/ mentor you will support in the successful implementation of the Strategic Account Plans according to GeoSoftware Consultative Sales Methodology within the critical account in the Region. You will also work with the Business Managers to perform the SAP review on a quarterly basis. We are seeking a candidate who is able to provide revenue growth and is able to build and maintain high level relationships with key customers to meet or exceed expectations.

As part of the sales and marketing aspect of the role you will be planning and implementing a regional marketing plan, with the purpose of expanding the GeoSoftware market, as well as working in accordance with the standard price list and GeoSoftware rules. You will also work on assigning sales force quotas and ensuring the GeoSoftware financial objectives are optimally allocated to the sales team. As part of the role you will get involved in the facilitation and implementation of new campaigns within the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. You will also work closely with Human Resources to establish a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies, this will involve prioritizing training objectives for selling, sales management and sales support roles. We are seeking a candidate who is proactive and innovative and who aims for continuous improvement for the immediate team as well as the wider organization.

Financial

The Region Manager will be responsible for ensuring the financial growth and profitability of the Region from year to year in alignment with the goals of the business line. You will also be involved in the development of the Annual Budget as well as the development and execution of the Business Plan for the Region.

The candidate will be involved in the development of Profit and Loss Projections to meet the Region’s assigned Financial Objectives.

Key measurements include:

·         Net Revenue and full P&L of the Region, Cost of Production, Gross Margin, EBITDA (Total and per headcount)

Staff Development

As part the role you will be identifying staff recruitment needs and create a succession plan for the region. You will also support existing staff in their development by identifying their training needs through regular catch ups and supporting where necessary. You will work with the Global Training and Support Manager and Regional Technical Manager to assure implementation of training needs at the regional level.

Operational

You will be involved in identifying market trends and will adapt internal capabilities accordingly. Working with staff and HQ you will work on optimizing resources with the region. You will ensure the strategic marking is aligned to the Region’s requirements based on local needs and trends. Ensuring the Business Management team develop a dependable Business Forecast to meet financial objectives, as well as managing the territory and assigned accounts to achieve the Forecast will also be part of the role.

Lastly, you will be responsible for ensuring that all agreements are in place (software, maintenance, training, support, employment, consultants, NDA, etc.)

This role will require some occasional travel.

Qualifications

You will be educated to a BSc or MSc in a relevant geoscience discipline. An MBA is desirable.

You will have previous established experience (15+ years) in software sales and management, P&L and Account Management.

  • Commuting Allowance - Fixed commuting allowance of EURO 0.19 per km free of tax. Total travel distance is a maximum of 20 km each way. If the employee travels to another workplace than the regular place of employment, only the kilometres in excess of the normal reimbursed number of kilometres will be reimbursed at EUR 0.29 per km, EUR 0.10 of which will be paid gross. There is also an alternative reimbursement option for employees wishing to utilise public transport.
