Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analytics Lead to oversee and evolve our in-house data analytics team supporting our game franchises. As a Data Analytics Lead, you will spearhead our efforts to keep data-informed insights at the core of our game development process. Your leadership will ensure that our design and development decisions are informed by robust and strategic data analysis. You will collaborate with product managers, data analysts, data scientists, UX designers, game designers, developers, and studio leaders to champion data analytics that tells compelling stories about our players and their experience while interacting with our games. Daily Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to the creation and execution of comprehensive data insights plans across multiple parallel game projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data analysts and data scientists, setting clear goals and ensuring high-quality analytical output.
  • Coordinate with various development teams to integrate data analytics at multiple stages of the product development cycle.
  • Synthesise data insights into strategic recommendations that drive design and development decisions.
  • Ensure data analytics methods and practices are innovative, efficient, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Lead the prioritisation of analytics projects based on development needs and resource availability.
  • Represent data insights to executive stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations and advocating for data-informed decision-making principles.

Qualifications

Must have

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in data analytics within the game development or similar industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in team management and leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methodologies.
  • Proven strong statistical skills and hands-on experience with ML techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into actionable design and development strategies; ability to elevate data maturity across various business units.

Other relevant qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of the game development cycle and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of game design concepts and an innovative mindset to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of data analytics.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of the gaming industry.
  • Proficiency in technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Storage, Google BigQuery, Looker BI, Python, and dbt / Dataform.
  • MSc or PhD degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Working mode

  • Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
