Job Description
As a Working Student in Healthcare Data Engineering, you will support our interdisciplinary team in developing and maintaining the data backbone of our healthcare ecosystem. You will contribute to creating privacy-centered, interoperable data solutions that enable data-driven healthcare and research. Together with experienced software engineers, data scientists, and domain experts, you will help design, implement, and validate data pipelines that bring medical data to life.
Your responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of FHIR-based data pipelines and APIs
- Develop scripts and tools for data transformation, cleaning, and validation
- Contribute to the integration and standardization of healthcare data (FHIR, DICOM, HL7, SNOMED CT, LOINC)
- Assist in building data models, dashboards, and prototypes for clinical and research use cases
- Participate in the documentation and quality assurance of data processes
- Collaborate with team members from software engineering, medical informatics, and project management
Qualifications
- Enrolled student in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or SQL)
- Familiarity with data structures, APIs, or databases
- Interest in healthcare data, interoperability, and digital health applications
- Independent and reliable working style, with attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English
