Job Description
The Main Cashier is responsible for overseeing and managing all transactions within the casino cage, serving as a key financial control point. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in processing and verifying all cage operations while maintaining strict compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute all main bank operations within the casino cage, coordinating seamlessly with Cage Cashiers to ensure accurate transaction processing and completion.
- Maintain precise financial controls by processing, verifying, and documenting all transactions in accordance with gaming regulations and company standards.
- Document and issue comprehensive receipts for markers, payouts, safekeeping items, jackpots, and table fills.
- Facilitate the exchange of gaming chips and tickets, process check cashing requests, and manage marker and fill transactions.
- Supervise cash intake operations in both Hard and Soft Count areas, ensuring accurate counting of all funds and verification of collection figures.
- Conduct thorough audits of all documentation and fill traffic from gaming areas to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy.
- Obtain and manage customer credit information while coordinating with cage personnel to facilitate efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate bank balances and safeguard all casino cage assets throughout the assigned shift.
- Process promotional paperwork, Food & Beverage deposits, and other financial documentation.
- Provide support to the Cage Supervisor regarding staff training, operational guidance, and procedural direction.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by addressing inquiries and communicating current promotions and offerings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support operational excellence.
- Remain standing for the majority of the shift to effectively manage cage operations and maintain visibility.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum six (6) months of professional cage cashiering experience in a gaming environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating financial equipment, including calculators, computers, and currency counting machines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English
- Ability to perform physical duties including bending, pushing, lifting, and carrying up to 26 pounds regularly throughout the shift
- Capacity to obtain and maintain all certifications and licenses required by applicable gaming regulations and local authorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead cashier capacity
- Advanced knowledge of gaming cage operations and regulatory compliance procedures
- Experience with casino management systems and financial software platforms
