Job Description
Make your mark as Field Engineer for Boskalis Subsea Services located offshore and onshore as and when required. As Field Engineer you will be focal point for the mobilisation and demobilisations during port calls. You will also be required to be part of the offshore engineering team supporting the project during execution phase. You have a combined role;
- Focal point for mobilisations and de-mobilisations.
- Fulfil project engineer duties as part of offshore project team.
- Provide onshore support to projects/initiatives if/as required
Your responsibilities as Field Engineer:
The main accountabilities & responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure deck plans, lift plans, and mobilisation plans are received and reviewed prior to mobilisation to provide vessel specific feedback regarding any optimisations or potential issues where appropriate.
- Provide leadership during mobilisations and demobilisations to ensure that the activities are delivered safely and efficiently in accordance with approved deck plans or as amended where necessary through the Management of Change process
- Engagement with future project teams to address any technical queries and facilitate transfer of vessel specific information, including any operating preference in a timely manner.
- Identify any synergies in terms of equipment and tooling between the off going and oncoming projects with a view towards cross utilisation and cost reduction where appropriate.
- Verify that all project equipment is delivered with suitable documentation and certification and tested prior to sailing, prepare manifest for return of equipment upon demobilisation.
- Manage and control certification of any long term hires or permanent project vessel equipment, identify, asses and communicate any loss or damage to such equipment.
- Deliver effective demobilisations providing support to the correct manifesting of backloaded equipment in conjunction with the project team personnel and controlling cross-hired equipment.
- Engagement with Operations Support team ensuring they are kept abreast of all up to date vessel Deck Equipment, Tooling, SOPs as requested.
Project Engineer Activities
The Field Engineer will be required to perform in the role of Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer during the offshore phase of the project
Qualifications
You can make your mark as a Field Engineer if you have:
- Engineering qualification (HNC or above) or relevant knowledge obtained through practical experience in all aspects of the Field Engineer role
- 1-2 Year minimum Offshore Experience within projects
- Subsea industry experience
- Opito BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS, MIST and OGUK Medical.

- Full/part- time job: The position of Field Engineer is based on a Guaranteed Day Contract.
