How you can make your mark
Make your mark as DOCM at Boskalis!

As a DOCM you are responsible for leading the operational  shift team on board. Next to this you supervise all activities on the tower /on the back deck /  subsea / during cable laying operations. Making sure that all work will be done according procedures and within the weather limitations . As a DOCM you’re taking care for the overall safety on board and make sure that all permits /lift plans/ risk assessments are in place .Coordinating the planning  and stay in contact with CTVs, and support vessels in the field  during shift .


Your responsibilities as DOCM:

  • Safe work on deck and safe work with the people
  • Follow the procedures and speak up when something is wrong. 
  • Overview the actions.
  • Take care for the people and build a team.

Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as DOCM if you have:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a deck foreman within the cable or/and maritime industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of working on  a vessel.
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
  • You’re willing to work on location for up to 4-6 weeks at a time, followed by up to 4-6 weeks’ leave with some flexibility.

  • Your team:  Your team exist of a group of riggers with their Rigger Foreman, ROV pilots, Equipment Operators, Deck engineer, Tool operators, Field Engineers and Supervisors and surveyors.
