Job Description
You can make your mark as a Operational Project Engineer at Boskalis Marine Services by being the linking pin between project preparation and project execution.
Using your expertise and experience in maritime projects, you will independently work on various aspects of a project. You will take care of the work methods and work preparation, and manage aspects like safety, planning, procurement, permits and maintain contacts with local authorities, to ensure that high-quality projects can be realized within the agreed requirements. Being part of a project team you know how to communicate efficiently on different levels to achieve your goals. Some of the projects this team has worked on, are the Offshore Wind Installation Kincardine and the EDP project in El Salvador.

Your responsibilities as an Operational Project Engineer at Boskalis Marine Services
- Translating project planning and engineering into detailed planning and working methods, so that the project can be realized efficiently and effectively in accordance with the contractual agreements (safety, quality, planning and budget);
- Liaise with all involved departments (project- and tender-support, operations, SHE-Q, fleet-management, procurement, controlling etc.) to ensure that the right working methods have been selected and that manpower and equipment are available when needed;
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
- Act as the key interface towards clients for all non-commercial topics;
- Identify and report deviations from the contract and take appropriate measures when needed;
- Take care of progress reports to the customer.
You can make your mark as an Operational Project Engineer if you have:
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in an international, dynamic project environment.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in offshore/marine technology or naval architecture. Knowledge of Rhino or Autocad is an absolute preference
- A team player mentality
- Willingness to travel globally (approx. 6 times a year)
- Good communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English

- Your team: In the role of Operational Project engineer you will work in a team of 15 direct colleagues (project managers and project engineers)
- Where you will work: We work from our beautiful campus in Papendrecht, working partly from home is a possibility.
- Fulltime/ part-time job: The position of Project Engineer is fulltime (40 hours a week)
