As Senior Controller, you will be instrumental in shaping our financial future, providing critical insights through robust planning and analysis, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations. Your expertise will directly fuel our growth trajectory by optimizing processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, and empowering management with a clear financial compass.
Job Description
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning & forecasting.
- Preparation, analysis, and commentary of budget/actual comparisons, including the derivation of actionable recommendations.
- Supporting management with sound decision-making information from the finance and controlling perspective.
- Preparation of analyses, business cases, and ad-hoc reports for senior leadership.
- Evaluation of the potential partnerships (technology, GTM, delivery partnerships etc.,).
- Further development of internal reporting and KPI systems for BGSG.
- Definition, monitoring, and optimization of relevant KPIs as well as the automation of reporting processes.
- Optimization of controlling processes.
- Annual budget preparation, tracking over the different current forecast milestones and monitoring.
- Management of the budgeting process in collaboration with various departments and oversight of global budget control.
- Analysis of variances and business performance.
- Identification of opportunities and risks and derivation of strategic measures.
- Ensuring data quality and compliance; Ensuring the process compliance into the different business value streams of BGSG.
- Support in company valuations and investment decisions.
- Execution of financial models, DCF calculations, or scenario analyses.
- Development of efficient reporting and planning structures and introduction of new tools or methodologies.
- Close cooperation with HQ Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other departments.
- Verification of data consistency, support during audits, and adherence to internal and external standards (e.g., IFRS, HGB).
Qualifications
- University degree in economics with a focus on controlling, finance, or auditing.
- At least 6-8 years of professional experience—ideally in the consulting division of one of the major auditing firms, in corporate finance, or in strategic controlling within an international company.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of of business valuation and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and HGB.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- High level of proactiveness, initiative, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Confident use of Excel; ideally complemented by experience with SAP.
- Exposure of dealing with.
- Very good spoken and written English skills, German skills is an advantage.
