Job Description

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Pre Sales Design department as a Heat Pump Design and Specification Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Delivering technical pre-sales Heat Pump design expertise and specification support for Bosch Thermotechnology products in the UK and Ireland

  • Domestic and Semi-Commercial Heat Pump System Design and Specification
  • Establish customer requirements via direct customer consultation
  • Assess project design concepts - produce detailed design packages
  • Identify and develop technical services in support of business strategy
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting team development during market shift towards multi-technology futures
  • Support the pre-sales teams with all aspects of Heat Pump system design, specification advice and legislative awareness
  • Assist and support design project co-ordination
  • On-site support requiring occasional customer visits & ongoing installations accordingly

Qualifications

Education requirements:

  • Knowledge of the heating industry in the UK and Ireland
  • Knowledge of domestic & semi-commercial heating design standards and legislation
  • Minimum HNC/D in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in system design & specification – ideally to include
    • Domestic – Heat Pumps, design and installation to MCS standards
    • Semi-commercial applications
    • HVAC
  • Professional membership to relevant industry body
  • Design software experience i.e. AutoCAD
  • Background in engineering (hands on installation or engineering discipline)
  • Fast learner

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak
