PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction began in May 2021, and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description

Line control ordering act as Plant Asset Coordinator & Central Ordering, responsible for managing and executing plant-wide purchasing activities to ensure timely availability of equipment, spare parts, tooling, and operational assets that support production, maintenance, NPI, capacity expansion, and strategic projects.

Acting as the plant's central SAP ordering coordinator, the role ensures purchase requests and purchase orders are executed accurately and on time while coordinating closely with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Project teams. In addition, the role maintains oversight of plant assets and ordering schedules to ensure project milestones and operational requirements are achieved.

  • Responsible as the central coordinator for all plant orderingactivities through SAP.
  • Create, process, and monitor Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and related procurement documentation.
  • Ensure all purchase requests comply with company procurement policies and approval workflows.
  • Monitor order status from requisition through delivery and closure.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to expedite critical orders.
  • Identify potential delays and proactively escalate risks to stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete visibility of outstanding orders and delivery commitments.
  • Support budget owners by ensuring timely procurement execution.
  • Coordinate procurement activities supporting:
    • New Product Introduction (NPI)
    • Factory ramp-up
    • Capacity expansion
    • Equipment relocation
  • Continuous Improvement projects
    • Develop and maintain ordering schedules aligned with project milestones.
    • Ensure long lead-time equipment and materials are ordered according to project timelines.
  • Monitor procurement progress and communicate risks affecting project execution.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure procurement readiness.
  • Coordinate acquisition of new assets and equipment.
  • Support asset registration, tagging, and deployment activities.
  • Coordinate equipment transfers between production lines or sites.
  • Maintain asset tracking records supporting operational and financial requirements.
  • Ensure purchased assets are handed over with complete documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, or any related discipline.
  • Passionate individuals at all career stages – from enthusiastic fresh graduates to experienced seniors.
  • Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems, Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and is an added advantage.
  • Good communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
