The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. This facility employs 400+ full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKU's.  In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business.  ISO certified, our associates engage

Job Description

The die rebuild support associate supports manufacturing operations by performing standardized tooling preparation, component replacement, cleaning, material handling, and staging activities. Work is performed using established work instructions, approved components, and predefined procedures.
This position is focused on routine, repeatable activities and does not perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, machining, fabrication, tool design, or technical repair. Tooling conditions outside established work instructions are escalated to the appropriate technical or maintenance personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
Tooling Component Replacement & Preparation — 60–70%
•    Disassemble and reassemble designated Punch & Pack tooling according to established work instructions and standard procedures.
•    Remove designated worn components and install approved replacement components as specified by standard work.
•    Clean tooling and components using established methods.
•    Perform basic visual checks to verify components are present, properly positioned, and assembled according to work instructions.
•    Identify and escalate damaged tooling, abnormal conditions, or issues outside established procedures to appropriate technical personnel.
•    Return completed tooling to designated storage or staging locations.
•    Complete required documentation and tracking records.
Fixture & Tooling Support — 15–25%
•    Clean fixtures and tooling using established procedures.
•    Replace designated consumable or routine wear components according to work instructions.
•    Perform roller covering and tape replacement using standard methods.
•    Prepare and stage fixtures, components, and tooling for production use.
•    Escalate fixture or tooling conditions that require adjustment, repair, troubleshooting, or technical evaluation.
Inventory & Material Handling — 10–15%
•    Maintain organized inventories of approved tooling replacement components and consumable materials.
•    Retrieve, kit, and stage components required for scheduled tooling activities.
•    Organize tooling, fixtures, and components in designated storage locations.
•    Support inventory replenishment using established reorder methods.
•    Identify shortages or inventory discrepancies and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
Production Support — 10–15%
•    Prepare and stage tooling required for production changeovers.
•    Transport tooling and components to designated production or storage locations.
•    Support production activities according to established standard work.
•    Maintain clean and organized tooling and work areas in accordance with 5S requirements.
•    Cross-train on designated production operator tasks as required.

Qualifications

Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly

Ability to stand for 8 hours

Ability to read and follow instructions

Ability to lift (up to) 40lb. boxes

High School Diploma or GED required

Prefer experience in machine operating
