Job Description

  • Develop mechanical concept and component design according to customer requirement and Bosch internal requirement, do concept comparison and decision matrix, make sure the delivery on time, on cost and on quality.
  • Apply product engineering methods (e.g. FAM, FMEA, DFMA, DRBFM,) during mechanical development phase
  • Realize concept in 3D and 2D with Cre/O, mainly focus on pure mechanical parts like housing, cover, shielding plate, insert mold busbar, mechatronic parts like EMC filter, DC-link, inductor, power module package, electronic part like PCBA.
  • Responsible for tolerance design which can fulfill function requirement and manufacturing costs in both supplier and BOSCH sides.
  • Initiate simulation activity through technical risk finding and ensure simulation fits to real application
  • Responsible for technical review according to bosch internal requirement and align with customer, hardware, system, layout, technology, reliability team member
  • Define assemble flow and DFMA with plant
  • Generate component specifications and BOM list
  • Perform technical discussion with supplier (TSD) and ensure the component quality collaborated with purchasing and supplier
  • Support release of purchased parts for series
  • Support production line setup, sample build, ramp up, problem solving, quality improvement.
  • Responsible for handling customer complaints regarding design issue.
  • Support benchmarking market leading players solutions, evaluate the cost reduction solutions

Qualifications

  • Master in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
  • 2 years’ experience above in related field; 
  • high voltage power electronics or automotive product design experience is plus
  • Complete experience from concept to mass production phase is plus
  • CAE Skilled in 3D and 2D
  • knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up
  • knowledge of design for forming process: die casting, plastic or sheet metal
  • Fluent English for global collaboration and professional technical presentation skill
  • knowledge of PCB design and process is plus
  • knowledge of connection process: screw, welding, adhesive is plus
  • Characteristics of innovative thinking, curiosity, proactivity and quick learning
